#17 : Your Default Settings

Your Default settings

There was a wealthy businessman who had a beautiful daughter and as in ancient times happens for marriage, he organised a Swayamvara ( where the bride chooses bridegroom), so that girl selects her husband. He also held a contest, so that best comes forward. The competition was that they have to cross a small pond filled with reptiles, crocodiles etc.  A lot of young people gathered around the pound, but no one was taking the initiative or trying. King was getting depressed and anxious,  BUT suddenly one person came forward and crossed the whole pond like a breeze, Businessman was very happy and approached to the winner with excitement along with his daughter.

Somehow the young man didn't seem to be excited and was looking here and there. Businessman asked what the problem is? Did he not like his daughter? The young person replied that he had no plans for marriage. I am searching for that person who pushed me into the pond.

Sometimes change doesn't wait for you to embrace, it been forced upon you and you are pushed into that. Change is only constant, and that's the reality we need to accept to move forward in this world, so don't resist it Use that opportunity to transform and adapt.

Do you know what's the difference between Human and Animal brains ?? As humans, we have evolved and developed our prefrontal Cortex which has given us thinking, decision, emotional power. But still, we have the old Animal instinct of brain. One of the functions for that was always vigilant because of fear of predator or prey ( it doesn't elope ).  But as we have evolved, this is no longer required to this extent, but we still behave like animals sometimes. We still fear, we need to change our default settings; we need to transform. We Don't Need to Change,  Transform.

  1. Wow, that's so inspiring & worth read to read it. A treat for me to go through it. Kudos to you for giving a new perception to my thinking that I need to transform & not change.
