#44 : #KGS ( Know , Go , Show )

Recently we talked about  KGS.

-        Know the way

-        Go the way

-        Show the way

 

No one tries to make the change or Be the change. Many of us don’t follow KGS; they try to direct people to give Gyan /knowledge but forget to GO the way by trying /adapting the same on themselves. They only Know the way and Show the way.

I wanted to share an anecdote related to this.

Once a lady came with her son to Bapu ( Gandhiji ) and complained that her SON  takes lots of sweets. She asked Bapu to advise her son not to take the same as it is not suitable for his growth and health.

Bapu listened to the complained and asked them to come after two weeks. Lady was disappointed, but she came after two weeks as she didn’t have a choice.

This time, Bapu advised her son to leave sweets, explained their ill effect, and convinced him that it was bad for him & he should leave sweets.

Lady was anxious & curious and asked Bapu why he didn’t say or convince the same thing two weeks itself. He said that he wanted to try & leave sweet myself. How can I advise & say something which I don’t follow? This is what leadership, who walk the talk Where leader GO the way.

Today this type of leader is needed who Walks the talk. The team appreciates and adapts the same once they are convinced that leaders can be trusted. And follow the same, not just spreading or giving away Gyan ( knowledge ). Nowadays, we have so many channels through which we get a lot of sound wisdom, we read them and forget about them, as no human association, example associated with it, who has followed same.

We need to Practice what we preach , put words into action and this will be seen by your peers , kids and acquaintances to follow .

#3 : It's Okay - Don't Loose Yourself

Its OK      At our homes, we have seen from our childhood our parents and later in lives our spouses. They all strive to be best or perfect; to do that, they try to please the rest of the family. This quest of theirs's  sometimes leave them exhausted, and actually, there is no such need. Also, this leads us to pestering requests and unreasonable expectations. I want to bring to you all is one crucial takeaway which I read recently.     Don't expect A+ in every aspect of your life . It's OK to have B, which also means Very Good.  Let me explain. #13 : Life is a Journey

  Life is a journey, and we all in it in different stages. Ups and downs are part and parcel of the journey. We should not judge people where they are, even if we may have started our journey at some point in time. S/he may have embarked their journey from different stations. You may have progressed further in your Life, but they are yet those stations. Similarly, some may have gone ahead of you as well. Last year , I attended Shobha Soul fest where Guruji   Gaur Gopal Das came, during his Speech, he metaphorically compared Life journey to Air Travel.   He divided air travel into three parts, Take Off, In the plane and Landing . Where if you see Take-off and Landing you don't have any control, whatever is done by the Pilots.   For our understanding, they can be our GODs or events for which we have no control over it.
