Daily D.O.S.E of Happiness
Have
we ever analysed why the boat or ship gets drowned in the water, is
it because of the water outside the boat, which is,
in abundance?
OR it is because of the water which has gone inside
the boat, which topples the boat? I guess you know the answer.
If we compare the boat situation to our lives, we have a captivating outcome. There are a lot of things outside which pollutes our mind , like dreadful news, melodramatic serials, unwanted/ Stressful /Heated discussions, rumours, etc. This all leads us to stress, anxiety & depression and it culminates to boat situation. It’s not what is happening outside, it is what we have taken inside and what we have done with it.
It’s in
our hand How to be Happy, I will be sharing you the DOSE how you can be happy as it backed by Scientific research, I urge you all to
follow same and be happy. Our Brain releases four types of happiness Hormones which makes us HAPPY, peaceful and
joyful.
. Every time we accomplish something, a hormone is released called Dopamine. So we should always try to schedule our day with small tasks which we can accomplish
during the day so we come out accomplished something big or small , so you can
be happy whole day .
How many of you have seen “Munna Bhai MBBS“? What is the highlight or take away from that movie? Yes, its “Pyaar or Jaadu ki ki Jhappi”
meaning HUGGING. Their protagonist goes
on and gives HUG to people who were serious,
having a problem, Sick , depressed, anxious.
And, due to hug or closeness to another human being, we release another happiness hormone called “Oxytocin”.
This
is released with an increase in our
Social interactions like partying, when we shake hands,
attending a meeting like this, laughing,
eating together, discussing, playing together,
all releases Oxytocin, which again leads
to happiness.
Now
a days when I go home or when after a long
time doing something I go to my son’s room I open my arms and say to him, Give me Oxytocin,
And he stands, and we HUG each other, and
this is the best thing which happens
where you forget everything as it elevates/uplifts our mind . Like Rekha when she reaches home , door get open , seeing her Mom , her daughter comes
running and hugs her, she forgets how the day
was behind
her. Now we can understand why we need to embrace a child when he/she is in a
bad mood or vice versa.
Lot of us are involved
in charity work , like giving donation , teaching to poor people, participate in
global day of caring, planting trees, we mainly
are transcending ourselves to
give back to society, when we go beyond ourselves, when we work for
others and we don’t expect much in return, the satisfaction of joy we realize is due to the secretion of Serotonin hormone .
Even if we are kind to others,
this will be released. The
Best way to cheer yourself is to cheer
someone else UP. Someone nicely explained what Selfless
work means, Sow the seed where when the tree grows, you
don’t intend to sit and relax beneath it
.
We sometimes get hurt, or be in a pains,
and for that pain, we pop painkillers.
BUT if
you have observed when we practice for a marathon or when we slog in the GYM,
we are drowned in sweat, we do repetition after repetition, the coach is after us,
we do it happily even after experiencing so much pain. We bear that pain, because we enjoy that pain, at this time a
hormone is released called Endorphins, this hormone helps the body to cope up the pain of
exercising, and that’s why we enjoy this pain.
Laughter
is another way to release this hormone. That’s why we feel so much relaxed when we consciously /
unconsciously laugh. So we should get involved more in LOL – Laughing out Loud .
So simple formula
for a daily dose of endorphins =
30 mins of exercise + 30 mins
watching funny stuff.
So, what is DOSE for happiness, Its Dopamine ( Your accomplishments, start with small accomplishments in a day), Oxytocin ( be social, hug while going out and coming to home), Serotonin ( involve in selfless work ) and Endorphins ( Exercise + laughter ) .
I
Urge you all to use DOSE and be happy in your lives because Happiness depends upon ourselves. Dalai Lama Said "Happiness is not
something readymade. It comes from your own actions."
