  Digital Diet is possible On an average, we people spend 2-3 hours a day on our phones, while in the pre-smartphone era that number was just 18 minutes. And research tells the average person checks email 74 times a day and switches tasks on their computer 566 times a day . Similarly, according to a study adults spend on an average 11hrs on Screen, which includes phones, laptops and TV. While children spend around 6.5 hrs on screen.      We have a problem here, instead of improving our lives, technology is increasingly getting in the way of enjoying our lives. Our addiction to screen is damaging health more than other ways. 65% reports, symptoms of digital eye strain, which includes Blurred vision, dry eyes, neck, back pain and headache.  Screen and smartphones emit blue light it contains more energy than warm cloths, which can damage retina and can cause loss of vision.        Constant Phone usage disrupts our lives and relationships.   From Vivad towards Samvaad (Ways for Better conversations ) 1.      We are not listening to each other. As Steven Covey said, we need to listen to understand.   We don't have a balance between talking and listening. Some people prefer one or other, which causes an imbalance in two people conversation. Don't listen to reply, listen to Understand and later discuss. 2.      We now prefer more texting than conversations and face to face interactions. Human interaction missing or avoided nowadays. 3.      We should NOT multitask while having a conversation with anyone. Be present in the situation and focus. 4.      Listen without any judgement, listen to understand as said in 1 st point.   You will find great relief, if you are disturbed.    Once Buddha was traveling with a few of his followers. While they were passing a lake, Buddha told one of his disciples, "I am thirsty. Do get me some water from the lake."  The disciple walked up to the lake.   At that moment, a bullock cart started crossing through the lake. As a result, the water became very muddy and turbid.   The disciple thought, “How can I give this muddy water to Buddha to drink?"   So, he came back and told Buddha, “The water in there is very muddy.  I don't think it is fit to drink."   After about half an hour, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back to the lake. The disciple went back and found that the water was still muddy. He returned and informed Buddha about the same. After some time, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back.
