“Thank GOD it’s MONDAY “
If you have all the money in the world, would you still be doing the same
work that you are doing now? Please think, If the answer is YES, you are pursuing
the right job, and if the answer is NO, you should re-think on how to think.
As many of us already in the Friday mood as tomorrow is Holiday, we all always say TGIF as if we
have worked very hard all over the week and we need a break. Correct?
According to statistics and calculation, we ONLY work for 18-33%
of days out of 365. (remove 104 Sat/Sun, 12 general leaves, assume 20
annual leaves, then assume we work 12 hrs. a day, so the half number of days
remaining, we only work for 69-121 days of WORK.
And even for this we all crib, celebrate Fridays,
suffer from Mondays blues
Have we thought about why it is like this? Work for all
of us is an effort or an endeavour?? If we enjoy doing the same, it wouldn't
have been like this, and it would have been like a breeze, it would be a
celebration. Isn't it?
Another reason is we quantify work by what we get in
return? And this is the wrong measure we all do. If every homemaker would
begin to equate the quantum of work with their compensations, then this world
will be complete halt.
You
don't work for anyone; you work for yourself. Organizations may get benefit from
the effect of your work. We should give our best at whatever we work. The
secret of this to happen is to make your hobby your profession. If
this happens nothing like it, but for some reason, we have come to other occupations,
we should try to make that as a hobby and enjoy the same.
I have many real-life examples, where some of my friends have left
MNCs, high earning job to pursue his hobby- the business of making customized
cars for trekking purposes. My father, after retirement still pursuing his
teaching hobby, he loves teaching so much that any time of day/night he is
ready for same.
So, if we love our jobs and we do that with the passion we will always saying be saying Thank GOD, it's MONDAY.
True that . Passion in job brings satisfaction
